Probiotics

I remember the Doctor referring me to my first gastric specialist at the age of 22. I had been in agony for months with acid reflux and excruciating pain in my stomach. I had been putting up with it for a long time, believing it to be normal.

After a series of biopsies and endoscopies, I was diagnosed with a Hiatus Hernia, Helicobacter Pylori and stomach ulcers, not bad work for someone so young.

After 3 attempts to clear the bacteria it was finally gone, I remember the specialist telling me I needed to search out what he described as animal bacteria to help my stomach. He told me I would find it in good health food stores, in the refrigerator section. I never did find them anywhere.

That was 15 years ago.

Today I was inspired to write this blog from Guatemala in Central America. I walked in to a shop in a tiny little town to be greeted by the probiotics i’ve been making daily back home in the UK for the last 2 years.

Probiotics are widely known these days, for this I am very grateful.

Most of the human beings on this planet have issues in their gut. Of those people who know they have issues, very few do anything about it.

If you/ your children have issues with reflux, recurring sickness, inflammation anywhere on their body, I would recommend finding a very good quality probiotic and a wholefood supplement to appease the gut.
